About

kib was founded in 2010 by Florian Keil and has since been implementing many projects together with partners from science and society. kib is a permanent cooperation partner of ISOE-Institut für sozial-ökologische Forschung in Frankfurt/Main.

Florian is an interface person: He is passionate about linking diverse sets of knowledge and people for social-ecological transformations. He headed many long-term transdisciplinary research projects on the regional and national levels with partners from science, industry, politics, and civil society.

Florian is an experienced speaker at conferences and a skilled organizer and facilitator of participative processes, workhops, and retreats.

He acted as reviewer for the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU), the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF), and various scientifc journals.

Most recently Florian completed advanced training in AI-technologies like machine learning with a specialization on natural language processing.

Florian holds a Ph.D in physics from Heidelberg University. He studied physics with mathematics and philsophy as minor subjects at Hamburg University.
